Safety, Hours-of-Service (HOS), and ELD Policy

Buchanan Hauling & Rigging, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “our”) is committed to driver safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This policy applies to all drivers applying through DriveBuchanan.com, including company drivers, owner-operators, team drivers, and lease drivers.
1. Driver Safety Commitment
- Drivers are required to follow all Company safety procedures and regulatory requirements while operating commercial vehicles.
- Safety violations or unsafe practices may result in disciplinary action or termination.
2. Hours-of-Service (HOS) Compliance
- All drivers must comply with FMCSA HOS regulations, including maximum driving hours, required rest periods, and logbook maintenance.
- Failure to comply with HOS regulations may result in disqualification from employment or program participation.
3. Electronic Logging Device (ELD) Requirements
- Drivers must use Company-approved ELDs to record driving hours and duty status accurately.
- Tampering with, falsifying, or failing to use ELDs is strictly prohibited and may result in termination or legal penalties.
4. Reporting and Accountability
- Drivers must promptly report accidents, safety violations, or HOS issues in accordance with Company procedures.
- Compliance records may be monitored and reviewed regularly to ensure adherence to all safety regulations.
