Buchanan Hauling & Rigging, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “our”) operates DriveBuchanan.com to provide information on team driver opportunities. Team drivers work in pairs to transport freight efficiently, and participation is subject to program requirements and legal disclaimers.
1. Employment Status
- Team drivers may be employed as company drivers or operate as independent contractors, depending on the program.
- Compensation, schedules, and operational responsibilities are defined in the program agreement.
2. Program Participation Requirements
- Both drivers must hold valid CDLs with appropriate endorsements.
- All drivers must comply with FMCSA, DOT, and Company safety regulations, including Hours-of-Service (HOS) and ELD requirements.
- Team drivers must maintain valid insurance, licensure, and safety compliance at all times.
3. Scheduling and Operations
- Team drivers share driving responsibilities to maximize efficiency while remaining compliant with HOS rules.
- Program schedules and load assignments are determined by the Company.
4. Earnings and Compensation
- Compensation and projected earnings are estimates and may vary based on route, fuel costs, load, and operational conditions.
- Company does not guarantee minimum earnings or specific load assignments.
5. Risk and Liability
- Team drivers assume all operational risks related to driving, equipment, and freight.
- Company is not liable for accidents, equipment damage, or other operational losses.
